Great for the price!

I picked this up at Babies-R-Us for $179 in the tan/cream colors that were not offered on Amazon. That design may be an exclusive to Babies-R-Us. The play yard is pretty easy to set up and it probably took me about 30 minutes from start to finish. So far I've left the changing table up 24/7 and let the baby sleep in the bassinet. My baby loves to look at the stuffed animals that hang from the top (elaphant zebra lion giraffe and rabbit...which of those doesn't fit with the theme?).



The changing table is vinyl and its easy to wipe off if you have an accident while changing. There are three mesh bags hanging off the side of the changing table to store changing supplies. This is my biggest complaint about this product. This isn't the best design for storing supplies. It's ok not great. The changing table is sturdy and feels secure enough. It's attached to the play yard with a zipper and four buckles.



The removable corner unit controls the music/volume light and vibrate features. There is also a remote control and everything uses AA batteries (6 total). The music is ok and it has decent sound. The light is ok (we rarely ever use it) and the vibrate feature hardly even vibrates the mattress. My baby does seem to like it so it must do something. Every feature times out after 6 minutes which is nice and the remote control can can turn everything on or off.



Pros: looks nice sturdy remote control ease of use

Cons: hardly any storage for wipes diapers etc... only a few songs vibrate function barely vibrates the mattress



Overall the pros outweigh the cons and I'd recommend this product to anyone who is shopping for play yards.More detail ...

We like it

I finally purchased a glider to use with the new baby. After going to a couple stores and taking a look at the 200-300 and even 400 dollar ones we decided to go with this basic glider to save money for christmas and other necessities.



So far I have had it assembled 2 weeks and use it many times during the day to nurse and read books. The bottom cushion is a bit hard but honestly this glider is well worth the money if you are on a budget don't feel bad about getting this one over the more expensive ones. It is pretty and does the job just fine.



When it arrived there was a huge rip in the box and the outer corner of the glider was exposed. Thankfully it was packed with foam around the corners and did not sustain any damage.



Assmebly was quite easy and the glider bottom comes assembled the ottoman is completely assembled. So it was 8 screws I believe to assemble this and my DH had it done in about 20 minutes.



It has a nice warm finish and should match well with other cherry furniture. The cushions are a sandy beige color and are attractive.



I'd recommend this as a nice glider for someone looking to save $$.



Update - March 12 2009 - Still satisfied with the purchase has maintained its quality and gets a lot of use.



Update - May 22 2010 - Now a nursing/reading chair. Frequently used and in nice shape. Looking into getting a better cushion set.More detail ...

Solid crib with horrible finish.

First the good. The crib is beautiful and it's very sturdy. The wood is great and I do love it. It is a little difficult for me because I'm short and the front doesn't go down but I also like it for the same reason. There are no moveable parts to pinch little fingers. I like how the whole crib doesn't move when my daughter jumps up and down.



But the finish is terrible. It scratches extreamly easily and there are teeth marks all up and down the rails. I scratched it on accident with just my fingernail. We are going to have to refinish it when my daughter is older.More detail ...

Life saver!!!

My daughter refused to sleep in her pack'n'play when we traveled which is often. Purchased this mattress after considering all options including buying a second crib for my husband's place while he's on temporary assignment. Read reviews on other sites to find that portable crib mattress are same size as most playpens. Mattress fits in playpen nearly perfect did roll up a blanket to tuck between the small gap on one side. My daughter slept great. Skip the "pack'n'play" and get the POD

I originally got online to search for a baby tent to use at the beach and then my eye fell on the pea pod travel bed. I got it in the mail just in time for a weekend music festival where it more than proved its worth. We used it in the pop-up camper for bedtime outside in the shade during naps and even took it down for the baby to lay/play in while we listened to music. Very light and portable I found it easy to fold and although I bought it for my 3month old baby my three year old found it novel and took a couple naps in it himself. Since then we've taken it to friends houses so we can put the baby to bed there and she plays in it happily in the kitchen floor while I cook.... it's soooo much nicer/lighter/more space efficient to haul along than a pack and play. Not made exactly for beach cover but it keeps her out of the sand and we drape a towel over or place the pod under the umbrella. great mattress

This is a fantastic mattress. We've used one for 3 years with our oldest and now that a sibling is on the way we'll be buying a new one for that child too. (we'd use the original but Oldest is still loving the toddler bed and doesn't want to move out of it). The mattress fits very snuggly and has held up to two moves lots of middle of the night changes and a wide variety of "ick" :o) The only sign of wear after three years is that the corners look a little mashed on top from all the sheet changes. The only cavet is that you have to buy a good quality sheet (like Carters) because the mattress is a little thicker than most. I tore through two cheaper brand sheets cuz they weren't made to fit a mattress this thick.More detail ...
